It is a silver goblet and it was presented by T.H. Keigwin Esq. who was the first President of the club. The first winner, in 1902/03, was Richmond Whytt (in 1906 Mr Whytt was on a handicap of plus 4 as noted in Doug Stalley's book on the club). It is the club's oldest trophy and is now competed for over 18 holes with a handicap stroke event. Between 1910 and 1950 the cup went missing but was recovered again and played for in 1951.
